Welcome to August FTW! AKA  For the Windows! 

2026 is the second year of this event and the first well prepared. 

What is it though? That's what an About section is for isn't it? I suppose I should explain. 

It is a love letter to Windows 95 and 98 gaming, from a period spanning over a decade, yet is often overlooked. Windows 98 in particular had game supporting it all the way to 2006!  So, we encourage people to play and share their love of games from this era. 

You can even play more modern takes on these games. Source ports, remakes, remasters, fan conversions. SURE! Choose what makes you happiest playing. 

The idea is to keep the event simple and fun. The signup is merely linking your account, which takes seconds. And the rules are few. Here they are. You ready for this?

1) Play at least one minute of one game or piece of software that has either Windows 95, 98, or both, listed as a system requirement. 

2) Be Excellent to Each Other.

3) There are no other rules.

It is requested that you use the hashtag #Augustftw when streaming for the event. Not required. just makes life easier.

When you are live, you will appear on the main page of this website. We encourage you, and really, everyone, to check out the main page when looking for something to watch. There are so many amazing streamers that you have not met yet, that you can discover.
